Logistics Support Specialist


Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Logistics Support Specialist in the chemical industry. This role is pivotal in providing administrative and operational support to the Monomers division, ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting logistical operations within the chemical sector. This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.

  • Administrative Support: Assist in the day-to-day administrative tasks of the logistics for the Monomers team, including Monomer PO receipts, data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and organize shipping documents, and other paperwork associated with inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Inventory Control: Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent stockouts.
  • Transportation Coordination: Assist in coordinating transportation arrangements, including scheduling pickups, arranging deliveries, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Order Management: Support the processing of customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Customer Communication: Assist with answering customer inquiries and concerns regarding order status, shipment tracking, and delivery schedules, providing prompt and courteous responses.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer service experiences, actively participating in cross-functional teams and initiatives.


  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a logistics support role, preferably within the chemical industry or a similar environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with logistics software or ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges as needed.

Salary Range and Bonus Target

  • $55k to $65k depending upon experience.
  • Bonus target: 5% of salary
