Supply Planning & Procurement Lead (SIOP / IBP Facilitator)

To lead and facilitate the SIOP / IBP process and ensure approved supply plans are converted into executable purchase orders, working closely with Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Finance and the China Operations team—while final decision ownership remains with the VP of Operations.
This Role Is Accountable For:
SIOP / IBP Facilitation
- Leading the day‑to‑day SIOP / IBP process
- Managing cadence, inputs, scenarios, and follow‑ups
- Preparing and presenting decision‑ready materials with leadership in Demand Reviews and Executive Alignment Reviews monthly
- Translating decisions into executable plans
Note: VP Operations owns governance and final decisions across leadership Team
Demand, Supply & Inventory Planning
- Maintaining demand forecasts and supply plans leveraging advanced planning tools
- Developing inventory projections and risk scenarios
- Identifying gaps, constraints, and trade‑offs early
- Ensuring plans balance service, inventory, cash flow and capacity
- Clear communications and follow-up with sales and operations
Procurement Planning & PO Execution
- Converting approved plans into purchase order (PO) requirements
- Generating and releasing POs aligned to SIOP decisions
- Ensuring timing, quantities, and constraints are accurate
- Ensuring the ERP system of record is maintained with the latest information available
China Operations Coordination
- Partnering with China Operations for:
- PO entry into ERP
- PO validation (price, quantity, Incoterms, dates)
- Supplier confirmation and execution follow‑up
- Acting as the primary planning interface for China‑based execution
Execution Follow‑Through
- Monitoring PO and inbound execution vs plan
- Escalating risks, delays, or discrepancies
- Ensuring updates are reflected back into plans and ERP
Success Looks Like:
- SIOP / IBP runs on time, with clear inputs and outputs delivered before scheduled reviews leveraging ERP and advanced planning tools
- Leadership receives clear options, risks, and trade‑offs during alignment reviews in a consistent and concise format
- Decisions and Plans are documented and translated cleanly supply forecast and POs
- China/US Ops executes accurately with minimal rework
- Minimal surprises between plan and execution
- Inventory maintained within DIOH targets and minimal stockouts occur
Supply Planning & Procurement Lead (SIOP / IBP Facilitator)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Supply Planning & Procurement Lead to manage our demand and supply planning processes and serve as the day‑to‑day facilitator for our SIOP / IBP cycle. This role plays a critical part in turning forecasts and plans into executed purchase orders, working closely with our China Operations team to ensure POs are entered, validated, and executed accurately and on time.
While strategic ownership of SIOP / IBP sits with the VP of Operations, this role leads the process, prepares scenarios, and ensures decisions turn into action.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning & SIOP / IBP
- Owns the MRP review process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and procurement actions.
- Lead and facilitate the monthly SIOP / IBP process
- Prepare forecasts, supply plans, and inventory projections using ERP, Avercast planning tools and other data management tools
- Coordinate inputs across Sales, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance
- Identify risks, constraints, and trade‑offs and present options to leadership
- Track decisions and ensure follow‑through
- Procurement & PO Execution
- Ensures accurate and timely PO entry, maintenance, confirmation, and receipt tracking to meet or exceed on-time PO placement rate.
- Work closely with the China and US Operations team to:
- Enter POs into ERP systems
- Validate pricing, quantities, Incoterms, export/import freight management and delivery dates
- Confirm supplier acceptance and execution
- Supplier & Execution Coordination
- Provides suppliers with forecast visibility, tracks lead times and delivery performance, ensures pricing data is integrated into systems, and resolves delays or discrepancies.
Key Deliverables
- Inventory Planning and Optimization- Maintains optimal inventory levels to support production and customer demand, measured by days of inventory on hand.
- Stockout Prevention and Availability- Ensures zero or minimal stockout incidents per month through proactive replenishment and demand planning.
- Drives Consensus Demand Accuracy and use of ERP as system of record and Advanced Planning Tools-
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to forecast product volume needs, cash flow impacts and align procurement strategies. Includes daily monitoring, use and maintenance of the Avercast planning tool.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in:
- Supply planning, demand planning, inventory planning, or procurement
- Hands‑on experience with advanced planning tools or software, including:
- Statistical forecasting models
- AI‑ or machine‑learning‑based demand and supply planning algorithms
- Inventory optimization or replenishment planning systems
- Practical experience:
- Generating and executing purchase orders (POs)
- Working in ERP systems to support planning and procurement execution
- Experience supporting or facilitating SIOP / IBP processes
- Experience working with offshore or international operations teams across multiple time zones
(China Operations experience strongly preferred) - Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional coordination skills
- Able to translate complex planning outputs into clear, actionable plans
