Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate for Crosslinking in High-Performance Polymers, Coatings, and UV-Curable Resins
Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate (EGDMA) is widely used in the production of polymers and resins for coatings, adhesives, sealants, and structural composites. As a multifunctional monomer with two methacrylate groups, EGDMA acts as an effective crosslinking agent, improving the strength, rigidity, and chemical resistance of polymer networks.
It also finds applications in UV-curable systems, textiles, paints, and plastics due to its excellent binding properties, dimensional stability, and resistance to heat and solvents. EGDMA is commonly used in dental materials, fiber-reinforced composites, inks, and thermosetting resins, where mechanical durability and low shrinkage are essential.
Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate enhances polymer performance in emulsion polymerization, radical polymerization, and free-radical curing processes, making it indispensable in a wide range of industrial, automotive, biomedical, and electronics applications.
