Many Teckrez customers have asked if our operations will be impacted by the pending strike by the International Longhshorman’s Association (ILA). What we know is the ILA is threatening to strike at ports along the East and Gulf Coasts on October 1, 2024 if a new labor deal with the US Maritime Alliance (USMX) is not reached before September 30.
At Teckrez we put Customers First so we plan our supply chain to absorb unplanned outages. Our business model is designed to ensure continuity, with contingencies in place to address unexpected events and disruptions in trade flows.
Current inventory levels across our U.S. warehouse network should enable us to maintain normal operations if the ILA decide to strike.
Over the last two weeks we have worked to clear all Teckrez containers from affected ports. Any immediately pending direct shipments or make-to-order products could be impacted in the event of a strike.
If you have any questions about a specific order or product, please contact your Teckrez Account Manager or Customer Service Representative.
