Tariffs on products from Canada, Mexico and China Update
On February 1, 2025, President Donald Trump issued three executive orders imposing new additional tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China. Effective February 4, 2025, all imported articles that are products of China will be subject to a 10% tariff that is in addition to any other tariff currently in force. Tariffs on products imported from Canada and Mexico have been paused until March 3.
This new additional 10% tariff will impact imported Chinese goods starting on February 4, 2025. Goods already in transit to the United States before 12:01 a.m. on February 1, 2025, are exempt from the tariffs presuming such goods are imported into the U.S. before 12:01a.m. on March 7, 2025. Goods that have not been imported into the U.S or have not been shipped out of a bonded warehouse before the deadline will be subject to the new tariff.
As a result of these new tariffs, the price of affected Teckrez products will increase by up to 10% for orders shipping to customers on or after March 10. Implementation of price changes will be in accordance with existing supply agreements and contracts. Please contact your Teckrez representative for details.
