Teckrez Adds Tall Oil Resin Platform Through Partnership with Respol Resinas
Teckrez has entered into a strategic partnership with Respol Resinas S.A., a Portugal-based producer of specialty resin technologies. The partnership brings Tall Oil-based chemistries into the Teckrez portfolio for the first time, expanding the range of resin solutions available to North American adhesive formulators.
Tall Oil resins represent a new chemistry platform for Teckrez, complementing its established rosin and hydrocarbon resin portfolios. With the addition, Teckrez customers gain a broader tackifier toolkit across adhesives, coatings, and industrial applications, including biobased and renewable-sourced solutions that align with growing demand for sustainable formulations.
Respol brings decades of specialty resin manufacturing experience and deep Tall Oil expertise, anchored by vertical integration with its own Crude Tall Oil (CTO) refinery. This upstream control supports consistent feedstock quality, reliable supply continuity, and the flexibility to tailor resin grades to customer requirements. Combined with Teckrez’s commercial infrastructure, technical service, and North American logistics footprint, the partnership delivers responsive support to formulators across North America.
