Teckrez, a company specializing in tackifiers and acrylic monomers, announced novel additions to its hydrogenated hydrocarbon product line. The novel products include hydrogenated C9 resins that range in softening point from 100 to 140degC. The new grades feature a broad range of compatibility in polymers from ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) to metallocene-catalyzed polyolefins (mPO). The increased range of compatibility stems from tightly controlled molecular weight distribution and varying levels of styrene modification.
The Teckrez HF, HA, and HM series hydrogenated C9 resins are produced by Henghe Materials and Science and marketed by Teckrez in North America to producers of adhesives, sealants, and coatings.
“We believe these new resins will be game-changers for our customers. They open up new performance options for traditional hot melt adhesive platforms,” says Marc Jackson, president of Teckrez. “These products represent the latest output from Henghe’s significant investment in capacity and capability to produce high quality C9 resins.”
“Experimental quantities of the new resins are now available to Teckrez customers,” continues Jackson. “We invite formulators to contact us to learn how these products can enhance the value of their formulas through improved adhesion, mileage, and physical properties.”
