301 Tariff Exclusion for Granular Hydrocarbons Expires

Sep 19, 2020

Jacksonville, Florida – Teckrez has been actively making a case to the United States Trade Representative that 301 tariff exclusions on Hydrocarbon Resins should continue. Unfortunately, the USTR has decided not to continue the 301 tariff exclusion for “granular hydrocarbons.” Their notice to us is posted below:

Teckrez, Inc.:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has completed, in accordance with USTR’s notice published on June 25, 2020 (84 FR 49600), an evaluation of the possible extension of certain exclusions from the $16 Billion Trade Action (List 2).

USTR has determined not to extend exclusion 20(v)(3) (Granular hydrocarbon resins, each pellet not larger than 1 cm in any dimension and having a melting point greater than 95 degrees C but not greater than 105 degrees C, presented in immediate packings of paper, paperboard or kraft paper weighing with their contents greater than 23 kg but not greater than 27 kg (described in statistical reporting number 3911.10.0000)).
Further information regarding exclusions from the $16 Billion Trade Action (List 2) is available on the USTR website here.

Sincerely,

The Office of the United States Trade Representative
